New Perspectives Senior Living is a retirement living community that has been in operation since its founding in 1998. The organization manages communities in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and Illinois. Each of the New Perspectives communities applies Four Pillars of Living Life on Purpose that help residents age with dignity and maintain independence. These pillars include: 1. Physical fitness - Residents have the option of participating in a variety of activities that range from yoga and dance classes to tracking progress on senior-inspired fitness equipment. Together, these activities help maintain health and a high quality of life. 2. Brain fitness - Residents strengthen neural connections through activities and games, such as art classes, musical sessions, educational seminars, and a touch-screen memory station. 3. Social and spiritual enrichment - Residents enjoy a calendar full of social activities that help lower rates of depression and cognitive impairments. Activities include concert outings, book clubs, church services, and bridge tournaments. 4. Dining and nutrition - An in-house chef provides residents with healthy, made-from-scratch menu items such as pan-seared salmon and freshly-made entree salads. Comments are closed.
