Drawing upon a decade of business leadership experience in the senior living sphere, Ryan Novaczyk serves as president and chief financial officer of Minnesota's New Perspective Senior Living. ASHA held its 2018 annual meeting in Orlando, Florida, where it announced the establishment of the Senior Living Hall of Fame and its first six inductees: Granger Cobb, Bill Kaplan, Bill Colson, Jim Moore, Bill Sheriff, and Stan Thurston. An alumnus of UCLA, Cobb is the former CEO of Emeritus Senior Living which, during his tenure, grew to include more than 500 communities with 54,000 residents across 45 states. Kaplan founded the Chicago-based Senior Lifestyle and Colson managed an acclaimed international senior living portfolio with more than 300 communities before selling the enterprise for $6.5 billion. Moore, meanwhile, has been engaged in nearly every facet of the senior living sector throughout his 50-year career and is best known as owner of the consulting company Moore Diversified Services. Sheriff managed his family's truck stop company before being hired as CEO of American Retirement Corporation. He retired in 2012 after assembling 647 senior living communities in 35 states. Finally, Thurston served 11 years as president and CEO of Life Care Services after guiding its operations management and development divisions. Comments are closed.
